Aimap (Asociación Indígena Matses de la Amazonia Peruana) es una asociación indígena que representa a las comunidades del lado peruano de Estiron y San Roque. Fue fundada por Daniel Manquid Jiménez Huanan, profesor y jefe de la comunidad Estiron, para presentar a la gente de Estiron y San Roque a un público internacional. Aimap trabaja con un doble objetivo: la búsqueda de apoyo internacional para necesidades médicas y de la educación, y promover turismo responsable en las comunidades Matses. A medida que los Matses no permiten guías turísticos en su territorio, Aimap ofrece la posibilidad de visitar las comunidades Matsés para gente considerada y responsable.
Aimap is an indigenous association representing the Peruvian communities of Estiron and San Roque. It was founded by Daniel Manquid Jimenez Huanan, schoolteacher and leader of Estiron community, to present the people of Estiron and San Roque to an international audience. Aimap works with a twofold aim: seeking international support for medical and education needs, and promoting responsible tourism in Matses land. As the Matses do not allow non-indigenous tourist guides into their territory, Aimap offers the possibility for considerate and responsible people to visit Matses communities.
